Bill Clinton Holds Stake in U.K. Jeweler Garrard

Former President Bill Clinton holds more than $100,000 worth of shares in Garrard, the exclusive London jeweler to the British royal family, the Financial Times reported.

Details of Clinton’s investment were reportedly included in a routine statement of personal financial assets by Sen. Hillary Clinton.

The Financial Times stated that the former president’s stake was probably acquired when his friend and business partner Ron Burkle bought Garrard last year through his buyout firm Yucaipa Companies.

Garrard was appointed Crown Jeweler by Queen Victoria in 1843 and later made pieces for Diana, Princess of Wales, the FT reported.
