| NewsMax e-mail alerts are sent using a multi-part format. Subscribers with HTML compliant e-mail programs can view your promotional e-mail just like a web page, while subscribers using plain text e-mail programs or mobile devices see only the text content. For all e-mail alerts, a plain text and HTML version should be submitted if possible. |
| Plain Text E-mail Advertisement |
| Plain text copy with no colors, images, or HTML formatting should be submitted as a text file attachment, such as a WordPad or Notepad file. Final version will not contain underline, bold or italics formatting. |
| HTML Advertisement |
| E-mails using HTML for formatting, images, or colors should be submitted as an HTML file created with a program such as Adobe Image Ready, Macromedia DreamWeaver, or Microsoft FrontPage. Please send any JPEG or GIF images included in the content as separate attachments. Whenever possible, please have all images in your HTML file hosted on your own server. |
Note: Advertisers without an HTML program such as one listed above may use Microsoft Word to create a .DOC file with any images sent as separate attachments in JPEG or GIF format. Please allow us 48-72 hours prior to the scheduled e-mail to convert your Word document into HTML. Depending on the complexity of the conversion there may be a nominal charge. Please consult with your sales representative.
Due to a new internal approval process (that was instituted to assist our advertisers in maximizing their response rate), NewsMax requires all ad materials associated with the email sponsorship to be received by our ad copy dept two business days prior to the scheduled flight date. If any of the promised copy is not in-house 24 hrs prior to the launch date, the email is subject to cancellation.

| Suppression Files |
You may send us files to use for suppression when sending your e-mail. These files should be included with your copy and arrive no later than 24 hours in advance of your scheduled e-mail.
Files must be in either Tab Delimited (.txt) or Comma Delimited (.csv) format and compressed into Zip (.zip) files when possible. The e-mail address is the only field required for processing so you may leave names and other attributes out.

| Test/Seed Lists |
| We accept seed and testing lists to help you maximize the results of your campaigns. If you would like to receive both the HTML and Text versions of your tests, please supply separate e-mail addresses and specify which format (HTML or plain text) these will receive. All seed or test lists should be submitted along with your creative. |
| Segmentation |
We are able to split your e-mail campaign into multiple segments for testing different formats, creative styles, or subject lines. These segments can be pulled randomly (default option), by nth select, or targeted to specific states or zip codes (Geo Targeting). Please let us know of your segmentation and testing plans in advance so we can properly split the list into the groups required to achieve your goals.
Note: Due to random sampling, suppression lists, and other factors, it is not possible to split lists into exact counts. A sampling of 100,000 subscribers will typically be +/- 3% of the desired number because of these reasons.

| E-mail Personalization |
| The subscriber e-mail address and zip codes are currently available for personalization within an e-mail. A portion of our list also contains first and last names – please consult with your sales rep for further information. |
| Tracking Results |
Your sales representative will provide you with the tracking results for your e-mail campaign(s). This will include:
- Total number of e-mails sent
- Total number of e-mails delivered
- Unique number of e-mails opened
- Total clicks for each link
Please specify in advance to your sales representative if you do not want click-thru tracking.
