According to a report in the NY Times, no less than 96 members of the Romney clan have stormed into Ames, Iowa over the last few days to aid former Mass. Gov. Mitt Romney at Saturday’s Republican straw poll.
Included in the Romney team are the candidate's five sons, who have taken up duties giving speeches, being hosts at fund-raisers, and blogging.
Tagg Romney, 37, the eldest son, organized the extended family’s effort for the straw poll. Even the Romney grandchildren join in welcoming the folks arriving from across the state on campaign buses -- escorting them to the voting booths.
The sons travel in the "Mitt Mobile,” which during the course of the summer has driven to all 99 counties in Iowa.

Matt Romney, 35, a real estate developer in San Diego, has concentrated on fund-raising.
Craig Romney, 26, a music producer at an advertising agency in New York, will take an extended leave from his company to join the campaign full time. He has visited 16 or 17 states already, campaigning for his father.
Ben Romney, 29, a third-year medical student, has also made some campaign appearances.
Says the report, this is not the first time the extended Romney family has hit the campaign trail.
In Romney’s unsuccessful race for the Senate in 1994 in Massachusetts, his father, George Romney, a former governor of Michigan and onetime presidential hopeful, headed up 58 family members who traveled the state.
