Republican U.S. presidential hopeful Rudy Giuliani is defending his wife after a critical profile in Vanity Fair magazine described her as a "princess bride."
At a news conference Tuesday in Connecticut, Giuliani said he scanned the article and found an "enormous number of inaccuracies."
The story, relying heavily on unnamed sources, calls his wife, Judith Giuliani, a "princess bride" who swoons over designer clothes, employs a full-time stylist and insists on a separate airplane seat for her Louis Vuitton handbag.
Giuliani said his wife is a wonderful person who helped him through treatment for prostate cancer. "She got me through September 11," he said.

He scolded a reporter for asking about the story.
"One of the terrible prices that unfortunately families pay in a situation like this is they get castigated and attacked," he said. "And, usually, most reporters don't even ask about it. They actually have more dignity than to even ask about it."
