U.S. Senator George Allen of Virginia toured a Florence, S.C. hospital as he promoted using health savings accounts for the nation's uninsured.

At the Carolinas Hospital System on Friday, he talked with department directors and the board of trustees about health care issues and visited patients in the cardiac care center.
He says he finds out a lot more about issues by talking with people involved in those issues.
