Report: Bill Bennett to Join CNN

Former U.S. Education Secretary and drug czar Bill Bennett plans to join CNN as a political analyst, according to a United Press International (UPI) report.

Bennett would replace columnist Robert Novak, who recently left CNN after serving as political analyst at CNN for 25 years.

Novak left CNN after walking off the set during a show when he was "fed up” with accusations that he leaked classified information about a former CIA operative, Valerie Plame.

Bennett, formerly of Fox News Channel, hosts his own radio talk-show on Salem Radio Network. He is a prolific author who is perhaps best known for his "Book of Virtues” series of books that introduce classic literature and family values to young people.
