Klein's success with his Hillary bio outstrips his success with his previous record of a four-week stint on the Times list for his book "All Too Human: The Love Story of Jack and Jackie Kennedy."

But his success with "The Truth About Hillary" is much more startling because previous books that received far more television and other media attention have not sold as well.

And despite five weeks on the New York Times list, liberal media buzz claims that sales are dismal or plummeting.

"After a strong start, it's sinking," Times reporter Edward Wyatt claimed two full weeks ago. "Maybe the truth about Hillary Clinton is not that interesting after all," he offered.

Or maybe the Old Gray Lady simply got it wrong – yet again!

Hillary's friends on 43rd Street, however, are still not ready to throw in the towel and admit that their attempts to kill Klein's book have failed.

They are apparently spitting mad that one of their own – Klein is the former editor of the New York Times Magazine – has penned such a biting biography of Hillary Clinton.

The Times has been unrelenting in its attacks on Klein and the book, and this past Sunday published its book review.

Reviewer Joe Queenan spent most of the review desperately trying to persuade its readers that "Truth" wasn't worth reading.

Queenan called Klein's book "a lazy, cut-and-paste recycling of other people's work [that] relies too much on nasty personal comments about Senator Clinton provided by anonymous sources" who "sleazily" intimate that "Hillary Clinton is a lying, scheming, smelly, left-leaning lesbian."

All in all, the Times review concludes, it's "a very bad book."

Of course, Klein never claims Hillary is a lesbian. But if the latest hysterical rant against Klein is any indication, it looks like "Truth" is heading for week six on the Times best-seller list.
