Kallstrom: Tighten Borders to Prevent London Repeat
Former New York State security czar James Kallstrom is urging U.S. officials to tighten up the borders and strengthen identification procedures in the wake of today's al-Qaida bombings in London.
"We need more support on a host of issues like border control and false IDs," Kallstrom told WABC Radio in New York.

The former head of the FBI's New York office urged that "we get serious in really cracking down" by "stopping all the unnecessary political correctness."
"It puts law enforcement in a straitjacket, "Kallstrom complained.
Kallstrom warned that New York City and other large American urban centers remain vulnerable to a London-like attack, saying, "The problem has not gone away just because it hasn't happened here [since Sept. 11]."
"There's a lot of logical, reasonable things we can do that are well within our Constitution," Kallstrom said, "to do a better job, to give our people a better chance of rooting out the terrorists here."
