While even Clinton critics are warning that Ed Klein's book "The Truth About Hillary" may backfire by reinvigorating Mrs. Clinton's image as a victim, privately some Democrats say they're aren't so sure.
Anticipating today's "Truth" release, Eric Hauser, a Democratic activist who was press secretary to former Sen. Bill Bradley during the 2000 presidential primaries, said he fears the book could hurt her political viability.

"There are widespread and legitimate concerns about her ability to win an election," he told Knight Ridder.
One-time Hillary adviser Dick Morris warned last week that he thought Klein's unsubstantiated allegation about Chelsea's conception would actually help Hillary.
But in his New York Post column today, Morris notes that new charges about Bill Clinton's ongoing infidelity threaten to compromise the new image of their "rehabilitated" marriage.
"The Ed Klein book – with its revelations of Bill’s current philandering – puts Hillary in a tough
spot," the top political consultant says. "If she pretends not to notice, she looks like a fool at best and a conniving politician who values power more than having a good
marriage at worst."
"But if she moves away from Bill in public," he warns, "she loses the stardust he sprinkles on her. Clearly the prospect of seeing him return to the White House is a key part of Hillary’s current popularity and she dares not put that in jeopardy."
