Bolton-Bashing Dems Turn to Larry Flynt

Sen. Barbara Boxer promised this week to stop President Bush's U.N. nominee, John Bolton, at all costs, announcing on the Senate floor on Thursday:

"I guess [Bush] wants a fight. And if that's where we're going, that's where we're going, because we're going to have a fight. If this comes to the floor, we're going to have a fight."

Boxer has put a hold on Bolton's nomination, giving Democrats more time to dig up dirt on the conservative diplomat.

Enter Democratic Party investigative pornographer Larry Flynt - whose probe into the private lives of top Republicans during the Clinton impeachment battle led to the resignation of House Speaker Robert Livingston.

The mud-digging Democrat, who offered $10 million for naked photos of the Bush twins in 2001, has called on the Senate Foreign Relations Committee to conduct a full inquiry into the curcumstances of Bolton's 1982 divorce.

Over at Air America - the DNC's primary talk radio outlet - host Janeane Garafalo gleefully touted Flynt's involvement Thursday night.

Will Senate Democrats and their mainstream media allies stoop so low as to introduce this line of attack when the full Senate votes on Bolton?

With Sen. Boxer threatening a no-holds-barred battle royale, the Bush White House had best be prepared for the Democrats to go into the gutter.
