Fund: Franks Considering Senate Bid
There's growing enthusiasm among Florida Republicans over a possible Senate run by former Iraq war commander, Gen. Tommy Franks.
"Franks is rumored to be exploring the political terrain for a possible challenge to Florida's Democratic Senator Bill Nelson," reports OpinionJournal.com's John Fund.

Fund says that GOP leaders are excited about a recent Strategic Vision survey that shows Nelson's approval rating plummeting to 45 percent - a number that could persuade the one-time top military man to take the plunge.
White House political guru Karl Rove may also be on board. While Rep. Katherine Harris is believed to be a lock against the current crop of GOP primary rivals, Rove is said to be doubtful Harris could win in the general election because of the role she played in the 2000 presidential recount fiasco.
