Despite columnist Robert Novak’s prediction that Rep. Katherine Harris (R-Fla.) will soon end her run for the U.S. Senate, Harris insists there is no way she will give up her campaign.
"I am in this campaign until Election Day next November,” Harris declared.
"Any rumors or speculation to the contrary are completely false.”
Novak’s Sunday column predicting the demise of Harris’ campaign was a "significant reversal” for him, according to the Sarasota Herald-Tribune.

Novak has been a Harris supporter who in August stormed off the set of a TV talk show after trying to defend the Republican’s chances of winning in 2006.
A Quinnipiac University poll in November showed Harris lagging far behind her likely Democratic opponent, incumbent Sen. Bill Nelson.
Harris gained national attention during the Florida ballot recounts that decided the 2000 presidential election, when she was serving as Florida's Secretary of State. After the recounts were completed, it was confirmed that George W. Bush narrowly defeated Al Gore for the presidency.
