Driven frantic by the assaults on the questionable Vietnam record of John Kerry by Swift Boat Veterans for Truth - and the desperate need to win Florida in the 2004 election - Democrats are pulling out all stops.
They continue to set up rallies featuring controversial Vietnam veterans.
Florida Veterans for Kerry-Edwards and the Florida Democratic Coordinated Campaign Committee have invited voters to "a series of events in Florida, featuring Vietnam veteran Jim Rassmann."

"On March 13, 1969, John Kerry's courage and leadership saved my life. ... I would trust John Kerry with my life, and I would entrust John Kerry with the well-being of our country," Rassman is quoted as saying.
"Mr. Rassmann will be touring the East Coast of Florida in Jacksonville, Daytona Beach, Orlando, Cocoa Beach, and Palm Beach to highlight the Kerry-Edwards vision for a stronger America."
Voters are encouraged to attend the events in their area and to bring families and friends.
"Please join Jim Rassmann and other Florida Kerry-Edwards supporters to show the strong support that John Kerry and John Edwards have among Florida veterans and their families.
"With only days left before November 2, we need your support now more than ever," says the Kerry campaign.
