Secured Borders U.S.A. Nears 500,000 Petitions
Popular radio host Mark Edwards of KDWN in Las Vegas tells NewsMax that the grassroots organization Secured Borders U.S.A. has gathered nearly 500,000 notarized signatures on its petition urging the government to enforce immigration law and stop the invasion of illegal aliens, and the group is looking for more Americans to sign up.
Secured Borders U.S.A. is conducting a town-hall meeting at 6 p.m. Tuesday at the Tuscany Hotel in Vegas. Scheduled speakers include Richard Ziser, a GOP candidate seeking to unseat Sen. Harry Reid, D-Nev.; Edwards; radio host Lou Epton of KLAV; and Bonnie and Bob Eggle.
Drug criminals from Mexico gunned down the Eggles’ son, Kris, a National Park Service ranger at Organ Pipe National Monument on the Arizona border, about 19 months ago. Fox News Channel’s Linda Vester told the heartbreaking story in a recent TV special. The couple’s daughter, Jennifer, a ranger at Zion National Park in Utah, is also scheduled to appear at the meeting.
The petition is available at www.securedbordersusa.com for those unable to attend Tuesday.
"In the very near future the sheer power of numbers will kick in, and we will get the undivided attention of ‘our public servants’ in Washington, D.C.," Edwards stated. "Rarely do we run into people who are not in tune with us. I’m proud to be associated with a grassroots group of people who believe with a passion that our mission is a noble one and that we will be heard."
