Limbaugh Lawyer: Treat Rush the Same as Addict Judge

Rush Limbaugh's lawyer, Roy Black, says his client deserves the same consideration Palm Beach County prosecutors gave to a judge suffering from the same addiction that afflicted Limbaugh.

Black was commenting on the revelation that Palm Beach County Judge Robert Schwartz – who was addicted to OxyContin, the same drug Rush was addicted to – was never prosecuted, let alone investigated.

The recent case of Judge Schwartz has made national headlines, including NewsMax.com's report: Limbaugh Persecuted, Addicted Judge Skates.

Black issued a statement late Friday demanding equal treatment for his client.

Said Black: "After admitting an eight-year addiction, Judge Schwartz entered treatment voluntarily and was praised by the community, not investigated and never prosecuted by the Palm Beach State Attorney's Office. This was sensitive and appropriate for someone facing such a difficult personal challenge. All we're asking is that Rush Limbaugh be treated the same."
