First Arnold Schwarzenegger became a champion bodybuilder, then a movie star, then a business tycoon, then governor of California. Now he's adding magazine editor to his resumé.
The guv has signed a deal to become executive editor of Muscle
and Fitness magazine and Flex, although it doesn't sound if he'll do any editing.
"Schwarzenegger, who will announce the deal Saturday at the
Arnold Fitness Weekend in Columbus, Ohio - an annual sports and
exercise fest that bears his name - [said] he will not take any additional responsibilities at either magazine," the Associated Press reported today.
He has written a column for Muscle and Fitness for a decade and
agreed to top the masthead of the two mags to
promote physical fitness and healthful eating.
"My connection to the magazine is in a subtle way,"
Schwarzenegger told USA Today. "It's like my relationship to the
Hummer. I don't go out and do commercials, but everyone knows I'm
connected to the Hummer."
For those curious about his new salary, he described it as "petty
compared to the movies."
