Nader's Candidacy Terrifies McAuliffe
What with Fox News Channel now reporting that election spoiler Ralph Nader will indeed launch another presidential campaign, the Democrats are running scared. Party boss Terry McAuliffe has just admitted meeting repeatedly with Nader to beg him not to run.
"I don't want Ralph Nader's legacy that he got George Bush for
eight years in this country," McAuliffe fretted on CNN.
"I'm urging everybody to talk to Ralph Nader. I'd love him to take a role with our party, to energize people, to get out there and get the message out."
Yessss, the self-described consumer advocate could be annointed underboss in charge of special interests.
Tune in Sunday for the announcement.
