P. Diddy Regrets 'Reckless' Attack on Bush

P. Diddy or Sean Combs or Puff Daddy – whatever his name is – now realizes that hateful hyperbole doesn't work.

Story Continues Below

He says he wishes he hadn't shrieked for people to get President Bush's "ass out of office." After all, such stunts did not bolster claims of nonpartisanship in his silly "Vote or Die" campaign.

"I was a little reckless with my comments, to be honest," Diddy told MTV. "I realized I relinquished my power too early after I educated myself. I shouldn't have said that until I felt that there was somebody that could be better for my people. ... Instead of attacking Bush, it would be better to light a flame under young Americans and let them make the decisions."

But he couldn't even light a flame under his own collaborators. "Vote or Die" shills including 50 Cent, Ludacris and Internet porn starlet Paris Hilton did not bother to vote themselves ... and weren't even registered, according to the New York Daily News.

So far none has been reported dead.
