Fake Newscaster Jon Stewart More Trusted Than Rather and Jennings

How biased, clueless and out of touch are Dan Rather and Peter Jennings? This much: A new poll finds that young Americans trust Comedy Central's fake newscaster Jon Stewart more than CBS's and ABC's top propagandists.

Story Continues Below

Global Strategy Group and Luntz Research asked people in their 20s whom they trusted to inform them on politics. NBC's retiring Tom Brokaw bagged 17 percent, Stewart 16, Jennings 15 and Rather a pathetic 10 percent. The big winner was "none of the above," with 26 percent.

Most amusing factoid about the survey: It was commissioned by Declare Yourself, a group backed by Rather's and Jennings' fellow leftist Norman Lear.

Last we heard, by the way, Lear still hasn't made good on his promise to move to New Zealand now that the president has won re-election.
