Gift to GOP: Michael Moore Plans a 2008

It can't be true!

But it is. There is a God.

Variety reports that Michael Moore is planning a follow-up to his acclaimed film "Fahrenheit 9/11."

This time it will be called "Fahrenheit 9/11 1/2."

Moore told Variety he had met with Miramax pictures boss Harvey Weinstein and that they "want to get cameras rolling now and have it ready in two to three years."

The director said that the issues the film would focus on would again be Iraq and terrorism.

Speaking about the film and the recent U.S. presidential election, Moore said: "51% of the American people lacked information and we want to educate and enlighten them. They weren't told the truth. We're communicators and it's up to us to start doing it now."

Though Moore's Bush-hating film was viewed as so extreme it backfired among voters, who rejected the hate politics by voting for Bush, Moore sees political and financial opportunity.

The "1/2" addition to the title no doubt refers to how much the film can rake in from Bush haters in Blue states. If Moore and Weinstein pull in just half the cash they netted in 2004, they'll still make tens of millions of dollars.

"The official mourning period is over today and there is a silver lining - George W. Bush is prohibited by law from running again," Moore said.

Moore is also making another film, "Sicko," about health care in the U.S.
