Audience Unable to See Kucinich's Radio Demonstration
The nuttiest of the White House wannabes, Rep. Dennis Kucinich tried to score points with voters during a media appearance by trotting out a pie chart. But the audience couldn't see the long shot's presentation ... because it was broadcast on radio.
Kucinich, perhaps best known as the former mayor of Cleveland in the bad old days when the Cuyahoga River caught on fire, apparently missed party boss Terry McAuliffe's memo about how to cover up the donkeys' weakness on national security. Appearing on National Pinko Radio's debate Tuesday, he brought out a graphic showing how he wanted to cut the defense budget and urged front-runner Howard Dean to follow his lead.
NPR's Neal Conan told listeners, "Congressman Kucinich is holding up a pie chart, which is not truly effective on radio."
The Ohio Democrat responded, "Well, it's effective if Howard can see it."
And it's really effective for President Bush if Howard follows it.
