NewsMax Heralds 'Hillary's Scheme' at Elite Luncheon

A cross-section of conservative elite turned out Thursday at Washington, D.C.'s historic Willard InterContinental Hotel to celebrate the success of Carl Limbacher's New York Times best seller, "Hillary's Scheme" [Crown Forum]. But it was far more than a book party.

The luncheon, hosted by Chris Ruddy and NewsMax and emceed by legendary radio host Barry Farber, was attended by several American history makers and featured a serious discussion of the ominous consequences of putting another Clinton in the White House.

NewsMax was honored by the presence of one of America's greatest heroes, Adm. Thomas Moorer, the former chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff and World War II combat veteran, who joined the Board of Directors of NewsMax.com in 1999. Adm. Moorer offered his insights about the looming threats in America's midst.

Human rights crusader Harry Wu, whose courageous stand against Beijing's brutality during the 1990s reminded the world that Communist totalitarianism remains a threat to liberty, was also on hand. Wu's foundation now publicizes abuses in the Chinese forced labor camps.

NewsMax pundits Charles Smith of CyberWar and former New York Congressman Dan Frisa were also in attendance. NewsMax's man in Washington, veteran journalist Wes Vernon, livened up the discussion with his poignant observations on what made "Hillary's Scheme" a success.

Also on hand was Doug Wead, the best-selling author of "All the President's Children." Wead shared some of his insider knowledge about the inner circle of the Bush White House, along with a few historical anecdotes he gathered about American presidents throughout history.

Patrick Henry Center founder Gary Aldrich was in attendance, along with his communications director, Ashley Varner. With characteristic modesty, Aldrich left it to Mr. Farber to describe for the audience his courageous efforts in breaking the code of silence surrounding the Clinton administration's national security breakdown.

World traveler-explorer and NewsMax pundit Jack Wheeler delighted the guests with anecdotes about his work as president of the Freedom Research Foundation. Wheeler offered a few choice observations about California's recall race.

Carl Limbacher's presentation touched on the key points and juicy tidbits covered in "Hillary's Scheme." He described the former first lady's presidential campaign as an "emerging national security threat."

It was Limbacher who broke the story of Bill Clinton's stunning admission that he turned down a deal to take Osama bin Laden into custody, a story that Fox News Channel's Bill O'Reilly described as "a journalistic coup." His audio tape of Clinton's confession is the only publicly available proof that the controversial story is true.

Reed Irvine, founder of Accuracy in Media, had a lot to add to the NewsMax author's discourse, explaining how the Vince Foster case by itself was enough to show that the Clintons are criminals.

The consensus of the gathering: There's no more comprehensive analysis of Hillary Clinton's presidential ambitions than the information offered in "Hillary's Scheme."
