Columnist Who Backed Clinton the Rapist: I'm No Lefty

Columnist Mary Jo Melone is again proving why the St. Petersburg Times has the reputation of being the most left-wing daily in Florida.

You'd think she'd be ashamed and apologetic after claiming that the women raped and molested by Bill Clinton wanted to be attacked. But no, instead she's lashing out at anyone who dares criticize her lunatic pro-Democrat bias.

Melone now whines that readers flooded her with phone calls and e-mails. She had been "thinking of Monica Lewinsky, Gennifer Flowers. The callers and e-mailers had other names in mind. Paula Jones. Kathleen Willey. Juanita Broaddrick."

Darn, she just "overlooked them."

Of course, in her two columns railing against Arnold Schwarzenegger and his supporters she never once mentions Gray Davis' history of violence against women. Democrat men, dontcha know, are allowed to assault and rape women.

"That said, what I don't get, and never will get, is the other, and most singular, part of the calls," Melone pouts.

"I'm talking about the tirade of those who believed that my failure to name the other women exposed some leftie bias on my part, and proved beyond a doubt that I am a card-carrying member of the mainstream liberal media conspiracy that tried unsuccessfully to stop Schwarzenegger."

Yes, instead of admitting her own bias she sounds the Clintonoid theme of blaming talk radio and cable news and Internet news.

"This is not only the province of the far right. The right is just better at it," she claims.

And then she reaches new heights of hysteria: "We shout into the microphone, call names across cyberspace. No wonder Europeans are increasingly afraid of us."

Oh, the precious Europeans are "afraid of us" because people are fed up with pro-rapist Democrat propaganda running in a major newspaper? How sad for them.
