NEW YORK -- "Frost/Nixon" is now in the black.

The play by Peter Morgan about the celebrated 1977 interviews between Richard Nixon and David Frost has recouped its $2.5 million investment, producer Arielle Tepper Madover announced Monday.

The production, which stars Frank Langella as Nixon and Michael Sheen as Frost, closes Aug. 19 after a nearly five-month run. Langella won a Tony Award for his performance.

Both actors, who also appeared in the London production, will star in the film version of the play, which will begin shooting shortly after the Broadway engagement ends. A national tour is planned for fall 2008.
