Extra air marshals are being added to U.S.-bound flights originating from England and Germany following a report of a potential terrorist plot. Up to six armed marshals could be on each flight, ABCnews.com reported last night.
The site says the plot has raised fears terrorists could stage mid-air explosions.
ABCnews.com goes on to report marshals are being seated all over the planes to hopefully thwart any mixing or lighting of a bomb in the back of the jets.
News of the attacks come as U.S. Homeland Security Secretary Michael Chertoff is in Belgium trying to convince the European Union to open up access to information gathered on European passengers.
The E.U. and the United States have to agree to a new deal before July to avoid problems for both airlines and people from the E.U.
