The Chinese Empire Threatens the World

Red Dragon Myth and Fact

The first and most dangerous myth about China is that it is the sworn enemy of the West. The Chinese people are not the enemy.

Story Continues Below

The hundreds of millions of peasants in the rice paddies and the working poor in the inner-city slums of China are neither evil nor bent on world domination. They survive day to day under the thumb of corrupt officials, powerful communist dictators and greedy warlords.

They look to the United States for freedom. They hope, like many who died in Tiananmen Square, to set up a freely elected, democratic government. They want to build a better world for their sons and daughters in the future.

The real bad guys in China are limited to a few but very powerful elite. The Communist Party and the commanders of the People's Liberation Army (PLA) rule China with an iron fist.

Red Empire

Another myth is that China is a single nation. China is not a single, monolithic state comprising any one ethnic group or culture. It is an empire, a nation of many cultures, many ethnic groups, chained together by the force of the PLA and the bloody repression of the Communist Party.

The Chinese government is often racist in its treatment of minorities within its own borders. For example, several people in the western - non-Asian - Ughr region were executed because they had the audacity to form their own political party.

In addition, the CCP (Chinese Communist Party) rabidly opposes any religious freedom. The continuing war against the Falun Gong is but one example of a nearly insane opposition to religious ideas. The Falun Gong are labeled by Beijing as "terrorists" yet no Falun Gong member has ever committed a crime of terrorism. No bombs, no hijackings, no murders or kidnappings.

Yet Falun Gong members have been imprisoned, tortured, killed and hunted across the globe by the Chinese government. The reds in Beijing can honestly be accused of conducting their own terror war against the Falun Gong.

One U.S. intelligence analyst described the current Chinese government as a combination of Marxism and the Sopranos, running the nation like a gang of criminals who have divided territories. China is identical to the Soviet Union in this aspect. It is an evil empire held together by fear, oppression and tyranny.

Nazi China

Another myth is that China is a backward nation, led by farmer-zealots seeking a perfect form of government. China is not some ancient agrarian Maoist Communist ideal. China has transformed itself into an advanced, technical culture, dominated by brutal single-party rule.

China has often surprised Western defense analysts with its capability of absorbing advanced technology. The miscalculation inside the U.S. think tanks has led to direct - shooting - conflict with China before. Our arrogance led to underestimating the real firepower and capability of the Chinese army.

The Chinese surprised the U.S. with advanced MiG-15 jets in the wartorn skies over Korea. Mao launched a million-man attack that nearly drove our forces off the Korean peninsula. The Chinese army was well-organized, well-equipped, well-trained and determined, even in the face of massive losses.

Today, China is fielding advanced mobile missiles, supersonic fighter jets, miniature nuclear weapons, nearly silent submarines and newly developed laser battlefield weapons. The U.S. cannot afford to make the same dangerous assumptions as in the past; the mistakes made in Korea and Vietnam about Chinese capabilities will be fatal.

China is no longer a Communist state in the pure sense. The Chinese leadership believes in personal property and personal fortunes made through capitalism. This fact has not escaped notice in the West. Even the Rand Corporation admitted that most powerful Chinese officials have their own Swiss bank accounts.

China is a Nazi state. China has become a modern state rooted in National Socialism, more akin to the ideals of Benito Mussolini or Adolf Hitler. The leaders in Beijing support capitalism and free enterprise while enforcing single-party rule. The ruling elite maintains a single-party dictatorship that enforces its will with bloodthirsty revenge.

It is worth noting that a small nation, held together by the whip of Nazi government, nearly defeated the world. One only has to imagine what the Nazis in China can do in the future.

Appeasement

U.S. policy toward China is dominated by another myth: that capitalism and trade will turn the one-party empire into a free nation of entrepreneurs. This policy, also known as "engagement," operates under the false assumption that capitalism and democracy go together.

History has shown this to be incorrect. The fact is that dictatorships and capitalists often live quite comfortably together. Western capitalists held the fascist-dominated states of Nazi Germany and Italy in high esteem as the future of mankind because of their friendly nature toward free enterprise.

The engagement policy is nothing more than appeasement in a silk purse. It is an attempt to feed the dragon in the hopes that it will grow fat and tire of the notion that it should rule the world. Appeasement did not work with Nazi Germany and it was shunned by the West in the long struggle against the Soviet Union.

The U.S. won the Cold War with ideas. America decided not to trade with the Soviets because we knew the money and the technology would finance and grow an already massive military machine. The Soviet war machine could have won the Cold War with the help of Western "appeasement."

Today, the fantastic growth of the Chinese war machine is directly linked to the Western policy of appeasement. The trade war that decimates American jobs at home also feeds the Chinese military industry. Money spent by the West on cheap toys, clothes, shoes and other consumer goods is directed by Beijing into nuclear weapons, missiles, submarines and long-range bombers.

During the 1930s, many in the democratic West elected not to see the threat of Gestapo tactics, oppression and racism until it was too late. The forcible attempt to subjugate the world under a single whip, later called World War II, awoke the sleeping giants of freedom and democracy - but not until 60 million had perished.

Any future war with China will destroy ten times as many in only a few short days, and there is no guarantee that freedom will win.

Today, the growing threat in Beijing is not led by innocent peasants nor working poor. The front edge of fear and oppression can be found in the criminal dragon, the warlords and the party elite. It is time for the free world to wake up to the threat or face extinction.
