BEIRUT, Lebanon -- Israeli warplanes attacked suspected Hezbollah targets in southern Lebanon on Monday, Lebanese security officials said. The raid came after the guerrillas said they blew up an Israeli bulldozer in a disputed area near the border, reportedly causing casualties.
The security officials said fighter jets fired two air-to-surface missiles at targets in the area of Qsair, about four miles from the Israeli border. There were no immediate reports of casualties from the airstrike, which occurred in a separate border region from the Chebaa Farms area, where the violence first erupted.

Hezbollah's Al-Manar television said a bomb planted by Hezbollah destroyed a bulldozer in the Chebaa Farms area. It said there were ``definite casualties'' among the Israelis, adding that Israeli ambulances rushed to the scene.
The station said Israeli artillery gunners fired in apparent retaliation for the attack.
Lebanese security officials in the area reported Israeli shelling on suspected guerrilla strongholds but did not immediately know the reason. The officials said on condition of anonymity that at least 25 shells fell near the village of Kfar Chouba near the Chebaa Farms.
There was no immediate comment from Israel.
It was the second such incident this month. On Jan. 9, a French officer serving with the United Nations was killed and a Swedish officer and a Lebanese man were wounded by Israeli shelling shortly after a Hezbollah bomb attack killed an Israeli soldier in the disputed area.
