BERLIN - A German court sentenced a 15-year-old schoolboy to nine years in prison Wednesday for murdering his grandparents.
The teenager, whose name was not released, admitted during a weeklong trial at a juvenile court in the northern city of Hildesheim that he killed his 69-year-old grandfather and 65-year-old grandmother last March.

He alleged his grandfather had sexually abused his 11-year-old sister.
The court also sentenced the teenager's 18-year-old girlfriend to two years probation and his 17-year-old cousin to one year probation for failing to report the planned killing to authorities after the boy told them of his intentions, court spokesman Jan-Michael Seidel said.
Prosecutors and defense lawyers said they would not appeal the verdict.
