  1. Report: Schwarzenegger Won't Run Again

Arnold Schwarzenegger won't be running for a second term in California.

That's the word from radio hosts Phillip Matier and Andrew Ross of San Francisco's KGO.

The hosts reported in the San Francisco Chronicle that word on Arnold's plans comes from California state Attorney General Bill Lockyer.

Bear in mind that Lockyer is a Democrat, no friend of Arnold, and is already running for governor.

At a fundraiser last week in the city Tony Bennett left his heart, Lockyer was quoted as saying, "as my very best supporters, I want you to know something very important. ... Don't repeat this, but Arnold Schwarzenegger is not going to run again, and the race is only mine to lose."

The hosts then stated Lockyer made the following three statements as evidence of his claim:

1. "Arnold has personally told me on several occasions that he is not going to run again,"

2. "Maria Shriver has told NBC that she will be back in two years," and

3. "Arnold has signed some movie contracts which will require him to work full time after 2006."

Schwarzenegger's office laughed off the claim, "Bill is either nursing a fantasy or Oliver Stone has sold him a conspiracy theory," spokesman Rob Stutzman said.

Please note: The Terminator is very unpredictable. Remember how he told everyone he was not running in the recall until the last moment - and even surprised his mentor, former L.A. mayor Richard Riordan.

With so many wolves still hoping to devour Schwarzenegger, it's quite possible he may be giving out a false signal.

2. Ronald Reagan's July 4th Message

During his presidency Ronald Reagan wrote a moving article celebrating the holiday.

Reagan wrote that the founding fathers "...sired a nation that grew from sea to shining sea. Five million farms, quiet villages, cities that never sleep, 3 million square miles of forest, field, mountain and desert, 227 million people with a pedigree that includes the bloodlines of all the world. In recent years, however, I've come to think of that day as more than just the birthday of a nation.

"It also commemorates the only true philosophical revolution in all history.

"Oh, there have been revolutions before and since ours. But those revolutions simply exchanged one set of rules for another. Ours was a revolution that changed the very concept of government.

"Let the Fourth of July always be a reminder that here in this land, for the first time, it was decided that man is born with certain God-given rights; that government is only a convenience created and managed by the people, with no powers of its own except those voluntarily granted to it by the people.

"We sometimes forget that great truth, and we never should."

3. NewsMax Scoops: Howard Stern, Female Soldier Stories

More evidence NewsMax readers get the story first: Last week, readers of our Insider Report learned that the Pentagon believes that Iraqi terrorists are seeking to capture a U.S. female soldier.

This week the Washington Times confirmed the story, with a report citing two senior Pentagon sources.

Also this week, Howard Stern made clear that he plans to go all out to defeat George Bush and help elect John Kerry.

Stern added new radio outlets in Houston, Tampa, Austin, Fresno, San Diego, Pittsburgh, Orlando and Rochester.

NewsMax first detailed Stern's plans in our June magazine cover story, "Media War on Bush."

4. Michael Moore's $250 Million Donation to Kerry

In a special cover story for its June 2004 NewsMax Magazine, we reported that Howard Stern's contribution will be worth about $80 million in in-kind support for Kerry's campaign.

That would be the amount John Kerry would have to pay Stern and his network to endorse him if he was a commercial product.

The NewsMax special report noted that the liberal media will "spend" about $2 billion to defeat President Bush.

But that number was apparently conservative.

That calculation was based on Michael Moore's film making a donation in value of about $30 million.

With the success of his film, its value will be more than $250 million for the Kerry campaign.
