The Truth Is Not in Them
Phil Brennan, NewsMax.com
Wednesday, March 31, 2004
In case you haven't noticed, you are being deceived, lied to, misinformed, kept in ignorance of the facts and led around by the nose by a shameless propaganda machine known as the mainstream media.

This is serious business. The very future of the nation is at risk thanks to the socialist elite who dominate the mainstream media. They have an agenda, one that begins with an all-out effort to defeat George W. Bush as a first step in putting the United States back into the hands of one of the most sinister and malignant political forces ever to seek power over the American people - what passes for the once honorable Democrat party now firmly in the hands of a corrupt socialist elite.

These people despise George Bush because he has the gall to be on the opposite side from them in the culture war now being waged by the barbarian left against the majority of God-fearing Americans. That is George Bush's cardinal sin and he must be cast out into the outer darkness for his offenses against the great god of liberalism, who, if you look closely, has horns and a pointed tail.

They fear not only his re-election but also a potential Republican landslide in the congressional elections, which would give the president the power to reverse the secularist programs to drive God out of public life and legitimize the worst offenses against the laws of nature and nature’s God.

They fear that a second Bush administration buttressed by clear majorities in the House and Senate will take steps to outlaw abortions, gay marriage, curb out-of-control judicial activism, appoint judges wedded to the Constitution, reassert the nation's belief in our Creator so solidly expressed by the Founding Fathers, further reduce taxes and cut the nation loose from an increasingly authoritarian federal government.

In pursuit of their goals, the media elite are embarked on a campaign to vilify the president, sanctify John Kerry and his fellow socialists, and prevent the public from knowing the truth. This is becoming clear in the case of the elevation to liberal sainthood of Richard Clarke, the egomaniacal former bureaucrat whose countless evasions, well known to the media, are covered up or excused.

This example of media bias is to date the most blatant attempt by the media elite yet to engage in news management. It sets the tone for the media coverage of the campaign. They have made hardly a single effort to disguise their partisanship in this matter, and indications are that the worst is yet to come.

Take the gullibility of the media that allows them to accept at face value the claims of John Kerry, who, as we have learned over and over again, served in Vietnam during that war. Much of what we have been told about Sen. Kerry's military background simply strains credulity to the limit.

We are expected to swallow whole the idea that this privileged aristocrat was able to accumulate three Purple Hearts in a mere four months, exactly the number required to send him home despite the fact that none of his alleged "wounds" incapacitated him for a single day. Who recommended him for those Purple Hearts, for example – some superior officer or Kerry himself as the CO of his boat?

Ask yourself how long the media would have accepted this dubious record without demanding to see his military and health records, as they did of President Bush's National Guard documents, if Kerry were a Republican candidate for the presidency.

About a minute and a half.

This is a warning. George Bush is not running against John Kerry alone. He is running against a corrupt media elite, who will go to any lengths to protect their candidate and smear the president. The truth is not in them, and the nation is in peril as the result of their dishonesty.

If you see it on Network TV or NPR or read it in the New York Times, Boston Globe, Los Angeles Times or the rest of the elite media, take it with several large grains of salt. The chances are that when it comes to their coverage of the presidential campaign, you are being deceived.

"By their fruits ye shall know them."
