1. The Traitors Ann Coulter is Too Polite to Name
People are still buzzing over Chris Matthews' attack on Ann Coulter and her book, "Treason: Liberal Treachery From the Cold War to the War on Terrorism."
The "Hardball" host challenged Coulter to name one traitor in the Democrat party. "I am refusing to turn this into a personality issue," she answered. "It's about ideas."
The left, of course, is adept at making personal attacks instead of talking about ideas, but conservatives are usually afraid to fight back. However, because the public wants names to be named, we'll point out some offenders that Coulter was too kind to mention.
The undisputable choice for No. 1 Democrat traitor is Bill Clinton.
It's too bad that so many Americans are uninformed about how Clinton betrayed the U.S. to China, which isn't the type of thing the pro-Democrat New York Times and its followers in the media establishment like to mention.
Monica Lewinsky was the best thing that ever happened to Slick Willie. The frenzy over his little scandal of adultery and perjury diverted attention from his far more serious crime of treason. (Al Gore claims his burstin' bladder kept him out of the loop... yeah, right.)
Anyone needing details should go to NewsMax.com and type "Clinton" and "China" or the unfortunate term "Chinagate" in the search engine at the top of the homepage. You'll have enough reading for a week.
But wait, there's more. How about:
Rep. "Baghdad" Jim McDermott [D-WA] who in September 2002 journeyed to Iraq with fellow travelers Mike Thompson [D-CA] and David Bonior [D-MI] to sabotage President Bush's foreign policy. Imagine a congressman visiting Berlin in 1940 and sucking up to Adolf Hitler!
Sen. Patty "Osama Mama" Murray [D-WA] and her sickening praise of mass-murdering terrorist Osama bin Laden, who, in her freakish fantasy world built "day-care centers" for those liberated career gals of Afghanistan, which "we haven't done."
Rep. Marcy Kaptur [D-OH] who equated bin Laden's followers to the patriots of the American Revolution.
The list goes on and on. You just need to watch a dose of C-SPAN to see for yourselves the treason and latest outrages of the anti-American left.
2. South Korean President: I'm Secretly Pro-American
South Korean President Roh Moo-hyun tells American military leaders not to believe what he says at home.
We hear that he called a hastily arranged meeting during his recent visit to Washington with former military commanders who had served in the Korean peninsula.
Some expected the meeting would be an anti-American rant. As we know, Roh won election campaigning against America and claiming the relationship between the United States and South Korea has not been an equal one. (It sure hasn't: We give and they take.)
Roh was sympathetic to protesters who had called for American troops to leave the peninsula. His complaints about America seem to have had an effect in Washington, and there was talk this year of withdrawing U.S. forces from South Korea, of removing more than 36,000 troops poised on the DMZ awaiting an invasion by North Korea.
Some military planners here in the U.S. think that having such troops as "trip wire" is foolhardy. Most of these brave soldiers would be killed or captured in a North Korean onslaught.
Roh met with the former military commanders, many of whom are fearful of a North Korean attack and concerned about the shift in South Korea's government away from the United States.
But Roh surprised, even shocked, some of the commanders who met with him. He revealed that he was not anti-American but had just taken that position to win office.
In fact, he said he was very pro-American and wanted American troops to stay (on the U.S. taxpayers' dime, of course). One attendee told NewsMax the Americans were relieved to find that Roh was not so naive.
But his comments raise questions about his integrity. Which Roh do we believe?
Evidently he has won over some in the Pentagon. American troops will stay for the time being, though there are plans to move soldiers well south of the DMZ and apparently there will be some U.S. troop reductions.
3. China Fears Anti-communist Revolution
The Maoist pseudo-intellectuals who infest America's universities will be so disappointed: The recent mass street demonstrations in Hong Kong have China's dictators in a panic over the rising anti-communist movement.
"What they fear is a double effect," Shi Yinhong, an international relations scholar at People's University in Beijing, told the Washington Post.
"If the central government backs down, Hong Kong will be a base for subversive activities. At the same time, the Chinese public will conclude the Communist Party is not infallible and that so-called people power can have an impact."
4. Lieberman's Campaign Gets Classy: 'Gobush'
Sen. Joe Lieberman looks like the best of the nine Democrat White House wannabes, but insiders are laughing over his new press secretary - a guy by the name of Matt Gobush.
"How funny is that?" one politico snickered to the New York Post. "The man who will be quoted most often as Lieberman runs against Bush has a name that basically wins it for the Republicans.
Gobush, by the way, used to work for Lieberman's former running mate, the hapless Al Gore.
