Find Out Hollywood's Secrets

In his sensational new book Tales from the Left Coast: True Stories of Hollywood Stars and Their Outrageous Politics, James Hirsen strips Hollywood’s phony façade and shows Tinseltown naked as it really is: a gathering place of anti-American snobs, who hate Republicans, President Bush, Christians – and even their fellow actors who dare oppose Hollywood’s liberal agenda.

Tales from the Left Coast is making waves because it names names: Barbra Streisand, George Clooney, Michael Moore, Alec Baldwin, Martin Sheen, Julia Roberts, Susan Sarandon . . .and many others. Click Here Now to Order.

1. Why Karl Rove Campaigns for... Howard Dean

We were fortunate enough to spend Independence Day in the nation's capital, where stranger things than usual were going on. Upon leaving the White House we saw a left-wing activist having a psychotic meltdown and screaming at wary Secret Service agents (no, it wasn't Dennis Kucinich). And then there was Karl Rove campaigning for, of all people, Howard Dean.

Alas, we didn't spot the latter sight ourselves, but we read about in the Washington Post. Yes, we kid you not; President Bush's chief political adviser was rallying for the leftist former governor of Vermont.

As a dozen backers of Dean marched in the 37th annual Palisades Citizens' Association parade, the Post reported, Rove told a companion (GOP state Sen. Teel Bivins of Texas, according to the Dallas Morning News): "Heh, heh, heh. Yeah, that's the one we want. How come no one is cheering for Dean?"

Then Rove urged the marchers and onlookers: "Come on, everybody! Go, Howard Dean!"

Rove told the Morning News: "The Dean contingent had a nifty little chant that ended up something like, 'We want Howard Dean.' Teel and I agreed that we could, with a straight face, agree with that. I was doing it with a sense of irony."

Ironical or not, why is the top Bushie supporting Dean? Even the Post knew the answer to that one: He "apparently thinks his man can beat" this wannabe.

Some appeasement activists are in a stew over Rove's backhanded endorsement. The Web site antiwar.com, furious at Dean's support for Israel and for U.S. intervention in Liberia, fumed on Friday:

"And why shouldn't Rove cheer for Dean? The man is to the Democratic field what International ANSWER was to the Iraqi war opposition. An unknown quantity, about whom too little will be known until too late. Luckily for the Dems, though, Hillary waits in the wings."

Umm, do the appeasement activists forget that St. Hillary voted with the Senate majority in favor of Operation Iraqi Freedom? Never mind; we'll let the Democrats settle this catfight themselves.

2. Saudis Getting 'Liberal' With Gays?

NewsMax correspondent Ahmar Mustikhan tells us:

Amid pressure from the U.S., winds of change are blowing across one of the world's most notorious violators of human rights, Saudi Arabia, the only country in the world named after its rulers. One sign: The kingdom's Internet Services Unit blocked access to www.gaymiddleast.com on June 16, but after protest faxes and e-mails from the Web site's managers, believed to be based in Egypt, the site was unblocked as of July 1.

Among the 30,000-odd Saudi princes, at least a couple of thousand, some of them in key positions, are notoriously gay.

The hypocrisy of the Saudi monarchy, which remains wedded with Osama bin Laden's extreme brand of Islam called Wahabi'ism, and where people are whipped for failing to answer the call to prayers or not fasting during lent, less lucky souls who are caught with their pants down pay with their life, homosexual and heterosexual.

The Saudis still practice the draconian medieval practice of beheading gays in public, as they do adulterers. The kingdom has the dubious distinction of condemning more homosexuals to death than any other country in the world. (Strange that we never hear much about these abuses, or Cuban dictator Fidel Castro's attacks on homosexuals, from the liberal American media.)

However, this may be the fate of only those who are highly indiscreet or do not have any connections in the patriarchal Saudi system, where clan background is still a yardstick for determining social status.

The blocking and unblocking of the Web site reveals that the House of Saud may be making amends under U.S. pressure to improve its human rights record.

A.S. Getenio, manager of GayMiddleEast.com, said, "It seems that Saudi Arabia was concerned from the bad publicity blocking the site would bring them at the very same time that they are involved with a multimillion-dollar advertising campaign in the United States whose aim is to improve the image of Saudi Arabia.

"The ad campaign is designed to portray the kingdom as a peace-loving, modern and enlightened state. We at GME hope that the Saudi authorities will leave the site unblocked and accessible to our readers, and that this is not a temporary move that will be reversed as soon as their ad campaign is over," Getenio said.

Professor William Beeman, head of the Middle East department at Brown University, told this correspondent: "The Saudi drive to improve its image in the United States has proceeded since 9/11. A large number of rosy television commercials showing progress in the kingdom and U.S. friendship largely fell flat. They smacked too much of hype, and were largely unsuccessful."

The reason for the ad campaign was simple: Most of the terrorists who struck the U.S. on 9/11 were Saudis.

3. Polygamists Rejoice at Supreme Court's Sodomy Decision

Supporters of same-sex marriage aren't the only ones thrilled by the Supreme Court's rejection of state laws against gay sex acts. Traditional Values Coalition says the owner of a "Christian" polygamy Web site says that Lawrence vs. Texas opens the way for the decriminalization of polygamy.

"My fellow conservatives are making a terrible mistake" by denouncing the court's decision, said Mark Henkel, founder of TruthBearer.org, which is devoted to the legalization of polygamy. "They are reacting like knee-jerk liberals."

Family News in Focus says the sodomy case is also going to be used to overturn the Defense Department's Clintonoid "Don't Ask, Don't Tell" policy on gays serving openly in the military. The homosexual group Servicemembers Legal Defense Network plans on filing challenges soon.

4. Sign That Tony Blair Could Be Removed

You'd think that labor unions are the one thing the Labor Party can count on, but not in Britain. Prime Minister Tony Blair has so angered the left that RMT, the country's biggest rail union, says it will donate just 12,000 pounds a year, way down from 150,000 in 2001, and seek closer ties with other political parties.

General Secretary Bob Crow says Labor has "betrayed" its grassroots.

"Like a marriage, sometimes it is better if there is a divorce. I am not urging a divorce, but how long can we sit back and support a party that has gone further than the Tory party?

"People say do we want the Tories in again. I say, how would we know?" Crow complains.

5. Hirsen, on Fox News, Reveals Hollywood Secrets

James Hirsen's new book continues to make national waves.

This past Friday morning, Hirsen was featured on the highly rated "Fox & Friends" program to discuss his new book, "Tales From the Left Coast: True Stories of Hollywood's Stars and Their Outrageous Politics."

Hollywood has a guilt complex, which goes a long way toward explaining its hypocritical politics, Hirsen said.

"It has to do with guilt and fear," he explained.

"Guilt comes from going from waiting on tables to waiting on limos - from going to dirt poor to filthy rich. And they're guilty about their success."

Hirsen explained to morning top-rated TV talkers Kiran Chetry and Brian Kilmeade, "It has to do with this fear of loss of fame."

The flipside of Tinseltown success can get ugly, the best-selling author maintained.

"Fame is like the lifeblood of Hollywood. It's like dying to lose their fame. So this peer pressure locks them in to that celebrity socialist club," Hirsen said.

Celebrity complainers such as Tim Robbins "think they have a constitutional right to applause," the author noted. "The First Amendment does not protect box office receipts or record sales."

But Bush-bashing from Hollywood celebrities is little more than a fashion statement, Hirsen said.

"Janeane Garofolo said it. She admitted it wasn't 'hip,' it wasn't a part of that peer group" to protest Bill Clinton's dubious military adventures.

"Mike Farrell and Sheryl Crow actively supported the bombing in Serbia," Hirsen reminded his audience, noting the hypocritical double standard.

"Then, of course, we saw what I call the 'Monica bombing,'" which prompted nary a peep of protest from peacenik performers.

Kilmeade asked about Oscar-winning Bush-hater Michael Moore, whose upcoming film "Fahrenheit 911" reportedly accuses Bush of advanced knowledge of the 9/11 attacks.

Noting that the flabby film director has fantasized all sorts of wild-eyed conspiracy theories about the Bush family, Hirsen pointed out, "Get this, [Moore has] criticized George W. Bush for not planting phony evidence of weapons of mass destruction! ... Nobody knows phony like Michael Moore."

Hirsen said it was all a product of Tinseltown's 'do as I say, not as I do,' attitude. He told "Fox & Friends," "You put them under a magnifying glass and you see the hyper-hypocrisy of the Left."

Hirsen's book continues to catch fire across America and this week catapulted to the top 10 on Amazon's bestseller list. It even surpassed Hillary Clinton's book.
