Bush Caves to Terrorism

WASHINGTON – All of the major news media organizations have reported that President Bush is on the verge of formally
announcing yet another new Middle East policy, calling for the creation of a
provisional Palestinian state, with final borders drawn and full autonomy
established within a three-year period.
Reports claim that Bush
hopes the plan for the new Palestinian state will be adopted at a Middle
East peace summit tentatively planned for September. Bush's formal
announcement has been delayed by yet another Palestinian suicide bombing
that killed 19 Israelis on Tuesday in Jerusalem, and a bombing Wednesday that killed seven.
Bush's new policy is a major victory for the Islamist terrorists
that attacked our nation on Sept. 11 and continue to attack our
Israeli allies almost daily. Despite an enormous amount of
political rhetoric and posturing, Bush has conceded to terrorist
demands, perhaps to also placate Arab/American oil interests in the
region.
Terrorists have effectively succeeded in "murdering their way" to
concessions from the American government. One of Osama bin Laden's and his
al-Qaeda organization's strategic objectives has been achieved. Yasser
Arafat and his murderous thug cohorts will achieve "statehood" thanks to
Bush.
The message of Bush and his administration is that you can
kill almost 3,000 Americans and get what you want, a Palestinian state.
This neither furthers the war against terrorism nor enhances U.S. respect
and credibility internationally. To the contrary, the bludgeoning of
Israel into acceding to a provisional Palestinian state not only creates a
fait accompli, but encourages more terrorism.

Editor's note: The Associated Press reported later Thursday that Bush now has "tentative plans for a Monday speech, cautioning that events in Israel could upset that timetable."
