ABC Censors Thanks to Jesus

"They let us say all kinds of things on TV, but they beep 'Jesus'? That makes no sense!" said Star Jones, who co-hosts ABC's morning talk show "The View."
As recounted by the Media Research Center (parent company of CNSNews.com), ABC bleeped the word "Jesus" in a West Coast feed of the program last week. On that particular show, Joy Behar of "The View" was talking about ending her diet: "Yes, and 'Thank you, thank you, Jesus' is all I have to say! Goodbye to that damn scale and this whole diet. I'm sick of it!"
ABC Thinks 'Damn' Is OK but 'Jesus' Isn't
According to the Media Research Center, the West Coast feed of that show included Behar's comment, with only the word "Jesus" bleeped out.
This week, on Tuesday's show, Behar and Jones complained about the "beep," as Jones called it.
As a "point of order," Behar noted, "The other day ... I used the phrase 'Thank you, Jesus' because my diet was over. ... For the West Coast, they took it out. They would not allow me to say 'Thank you, Jesus.' I think that's wrong," she said, adding that the program had received about a hundred of letters of complaint.
Jones commented, "I've said 'Jesus' so many times."
Behar responded, "Yeah, that's right. How come the black girl can say it and the white girl can't? I protest!"
Behar, for the record, said she is a Roman Catholic. "Jesus and I are pals, OK? Get with the program!"
