Bin Laden Broadcasts Response
NewsMax.com
Sunday October 7, 2001
Moments ago Al Jazeera, the Arab world television network, broadcast Osama bin Laden's response to the military actions the U.S. and Britain launched tonight.

The remarks were videotaped in preparation for the attacks, Al Jazeera reported.

Bin Laden appeared with two top aides, his chief counsel and the Al Qaeda spokesman. He told the Arab world, "America will never be safe," and that the U.S. can expect additional attacks. He said the cause of all these problems is Israel and that the U.S. has only gotten a taste of what the Arab world and the Palestinians have suffered from the Israelis.

He expressed little sympathy for the dead in the World Trade Center. He wants to show the world real terror by showing picture after picture of "1 million Iraqi children" he claims have died due to U.N. sanctions since the Gulf War.

Al Jazeera said they smuggled the tape out expecting the attacks and they would be unable to communicate with him after any military reprisals.
