BACKGROUND:
Following the disaster perpetrated by the television networks on Election Day, having interfered with the electoral process by erroneously projecting some states for one candidate while withholding calls of other states for another candidate, people throughout the United States are adamant that this never happen again.
In order to effectuate a solution, legislation is proposed to prohibit the dissemination of any information, data, projections, or assessment of voting results while the election is still in progress, anywhere in the nation.
The Free and Fair Elections Act is put forth as the appropriate legislative remedy for this situation, which will embody the above concept.
A draft of this legislation is currently being written and will be posted on this page when complete.
Many supporters are beginning to e-mail their friends and contacts from their address books in order to spread the word. This is a great way to multiply our efforts.
Several popular radio hosts have contacted us expressing interest and support for the legislation. Programs are being booked now and will be listed in a special section below in the near future. One of the most enthusiastic hosts is Neal Dionne of WOOD 1300 radio in Grand Rapids, Michigan; we have been in touch and will coordinate efforts.
Thousands of people are expressing their support for this important legislation to ensure the integrity of our elections.
SELF-EMPOWERMENT IS THE KEY:
Take the bull by the horns; if you have an idea to further the effort, by all means go ahead and make it happen! There is no need to consult with anyone, everything here is entrepreneurial. Many have asked about postings on bulletin boards, promoting on chat-rooms, calling in to radio programs, letters to the editor, and contacting Congressman and Senators. In a word, "yes" - proceed!
Please, please, please. Go ahead. Take action now!
There has been a tremendous outpouring of concerned citizens already offering their support for efforts to demand enactment of the Free and Fair Elections Act; this is an excellent beginning.
However, even more people must be mobilized to ensure maximum impact for the initial, coordinated announcement. Therefore, it is essential that every individual you know be informed.
The most efficient approach is to send e-mails to everyone in your addressbook, directing them to this page to register their support.
